December-Week Two

We had another busy and fun-filled week last week:

Bass Pro Shop - Santa's Workshop

This was the boys' first time to see Santa this year. They were both excited to sit on his lap and tell him what they want for Christmas. Kayden was especially excited about the candy cane Santa gave him.

They had fun in Santa's workshop racing cars, shooting guns (Zac's favorite--he now wants a gun for Christmas--thanks Bass Pro Shop!), etc.

Jammie and Christmas Baking/Project Day

One day the boys had a "jammie day" and we did some Christmas projects and baked lots of yummy cookies. The boys thought it was so cool to stay in their pj's all day long!

We made these sugar cookies where you paint the colored glaze on before you bake them...it was so fun for the boys to paint the cookies...much easier than when they try to frost them!

We also made some gingerbread men since Zac had been begging to for a while. After we cut them out and were baking them, Zac kept wondering when the gingerbread man was going to jump out and run away like in the story.
So, with some strategic moves on my part, his big gingerbread boy disappeared, and the boys had a great time "chasing" and trying to find it. Zac eventually left his gingerbread house on the porch to try to attract it to come back, and it worked! A few minutes later, when he looked out there, the gingerbread boy and girl were both lying next to the house! Such excitement!

Boulder City Santa Train

We got up early Saturday morning to go get tickets to ride the Santa train with some of our friends. The boys loved it and we all had a fun time!

Santa and Mrs. Claus walked through the train and talked with each of the children.

Mrs. Claus asked Zac to leave some carrots for the reindeer.
She said that they make Rudolph's nose glow!

Ethel M. Chocolate Factory/Cactus Garden Lights

Every year we like to go walk around the cactus gardens to see the millions of pretty lights!

The boys especially loved it because their friend Riley was there to run around with them.

It was a super cold night but we still had a great time!

The boys got to see Santa AGAIN that night! Zac was fine not to see him again, but Kayden really wanted to because he told me that Santa would give him a candy cane.
He's got Santa figured out! Santa actually gave them bags of M&M's...even better!
On Sunday, Zac told me, "We saw Santa 3 times this week, 4 times if you count Mrs. Claus!" He thought that was amazing!

What a fun week! The picture of Kayden with all of you on the train looks like Avery. If she had a brother that's what he would look like.
