According to Zac, that is. Every time he'd open a present and randomly throughout the day he'd exclaim, "This is the best Christmas EVER!" And I have to agree...we had a wonderful Christmas this year. It was our first Christmas spent in our own home, and we loved it! Grandma and Grandpa came down to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with us, which made it extra special and fun.
Christmas Eve we had a delicious dinner, then acted out the Nativity story (even though we were few in number). It was nice to focus on the Savior and the true meaning of Christmas. After the kids were tucked in bed, the "grown-ups" drank homemade hot chocolate, relaxed, and watched a Christmas movie. It was a perfect evening.
Christmas morning was full of fun and excitement. When Zac woke up, he was concerned that Santa hadn't come. He had to run down and see if the cookies and carrots were still there. He was so excited to find that Santa had eaten them (and fed the carrots to his reindeer) and ran back upstairs to tell everyone that Santa had come.
We opened the stockings that Santa had left outside the bedrooms, then headed downstairs to a room full of presents.
We took our time opening gifts, especially since the boys wanted to play with whatever they opened before opening the next gift. Halfway through we took a break for some yummy Creme Brulee French Toast and egg casserole.
It was Kayden's first Christmas, and he seemed to love it as much as the rest of us. He figured out how to rip off the wrapping paper (when Zac wasn't too busy doing it for him) and had fun playing with all of his new toys.

Every time Zac would open a present, he'd say, "Oh my gosh!" followed by, "This is the best Christmas EVER!" My dad's favorite was the slow, drawn-out-in-suspense version, "Oh......my.......GOSH!" as he'd rip off the wrapping paper. It's so fun to watch the excitement of a child on Christmas morning! He liked to help everyone else open their presents, too.
Santa left behind a few cookie crumbs, so Kayden decided to finish them off. Why let them go to waste?
Christmas evening we went to check out the conservatory garden at the Bellagio. It was beautiful, as always. Thanks for coming to celebrate with us, Grandma and Grandpa! It was the best Christmas ever!

I love your Christmas pictures! Kayden is a doll! And I think it's so funny when little toddlers say such grown up things...I can totally picture Zac saying, "Oh...My...GOSH!!!!" So funny. I can't believe he'll be in Primary this year...Parker still has a year to go! AND I love that Zac knows the words to "Far far away on Judea's Plains." What a smart kid!
Isn't christmas at home fun? Those boys are so cute! I miss you- we'll have to start planning a trip to Vegas!

What a wonderful treat to have your parents come to YOU! Isn't it great being in your own home for the holidays? The more kids we've had the nicer it's been to have the excuse of just spending Christmas at home. Your photos are so colorful and bright...great photography!
